name is Deidre Schuetz. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
International Studies and Spanish at the University of Oregon, I acquired
a License of Massage Therapy from Lane Community College (Eugene,
Oregon). Since 1997, I have spent four years abroad. Ecuador and Spain
split one of those years. The other three, I have lived in West Africa
studying bodywork, dance, music, and language. I'm currently the Program
Director and Founder of Lanyi Fan Non-Profit Organization. We are building
a cross-cultural bridge between Guinea, West Africa, and the U.S.
My
massage style incorporates many techniques: Reiki (Japanese energy work),Swedish,
Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure, Myofascial Release, Reflexology,
and Deep tissue. Energy work treatments are available upon request;
in which case, I incorporate Reiki, Barbara Brennan-based, and West
African-based
techniques. I tailor my treatments to your body type, personality,
feedback, requests, and desired outcomes. After your bodywork session,
I discuss individual, independent exercises to progress along your personal
wellness path.

stones to facilitate deep relaxation and healing. I also have doula
training, and I enjoy working with pregnant and post-partum women to
relieve common ailments.
From
my experience of working with a chiropractor, I am familiar with treating
pain from car accidents, sciatica, carpal tunnel, headaches, and back
